Arriving to the U.S.A.
Once you have the K-1 visa you have 6 months to arrive to the U.S.A.
What is important is that you make sure they will stamp your
passport "Employment authorized" on the airport/border. I have heard that some places
don't give it if you don't ask for it. I arrived to San Francisco
airport and they stamped it there without any problems. But this is
not the case in everywhere. If they don't stamp it you will have to go
to INS office and try to get it stamped there or you need to apply
for Employment Authorization Document with form I-765.
In Finland in the U.S. consulate they sealed all my papers to
an envelope and the officer in SFO inspected those. This is your
final inspection where they in principle can return you back where
you came from.... but I don't think it is very probable. But anyway,
the officer will ask you basically couple of the questions and
stamps I-94 (arriving/departure record) to your passport.
