Lawyers, do I need those?

I didn't. But you might need. Your mileage may vary. My opinion is that if everythings is in good condition and you have all papers you need then you don't need a lawyer for anything. If you have extra money and want to save a lot of time then hiring a lawyer might not be a bad idea. But I am sure if you are willing to spend some hours studying things you can do it yourself. The process isn't easy... you need to file a lot of papers and study how things works.

One purpose of these pages is to help you to do things yourself. I am trying to gather other people's experince about issues of K-1 visa, adjustment of status or citizenship issues under these web pages. These are "been there - done that" pages, not legal advices to anyone. By making all by yourself you might also run into trouble if for some reason you fill forms wrong or don't fully understand what you are doing. This is where lawyers can help you - they have experience of these issues and knows what to file and how to fill forms.

This is where we try to help. If you want to do all by yourself anyway and save big $$$ we can share our experiences here and tell you how we did it.
