And of course you must arrange the wedding. That's the day you must forget all immigration issues and relax - it is your day - enjoy it.
For example setting the date is a big problem. You need a lot of time to prepare for weddings and invite people to it. And the problem is that until you get your letter from consulate you can't be very sure about when you will arrive to the U.S.A. So my suggestion is to keep organizing the wedding "floating" - don't fix the date until you can be very sure you will be there. Do other organization and set the date when you have flight tickets in your hands.
Some other things must also be considered... if you are an alien some churches might not accept you to be wedded in the church. You must be their member first and go to counseling in some cases. We had our wedding in my spouse's parents' backyard and we were wedded by a Justice of Peace. Here are some pics if you want to see.
Oh... and one more thing. You can't go to honey moon outside the U.S.A. Puerto Rico and Hawaii are ok but for example Canada and Mexico aren't. If you go... you might have trouble getting back to U.S.A.
